Our client is hiring a highly visible Controller, responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions for a large manufacturing operation. This role partners closely with senior leadership to support business performance, maintain strong financial controls, and lead a high-performing finance team. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic financial leadership with hands-on operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting processes
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations
- Lead month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to senior leadership
- Monitor and improve costing, inventory, and capital asset management processes
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management activities
- Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, and forecasting initiatives
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and business performance
- Develop, mentor, and support members of the finance team through coaching, performance management, and succession planning
- Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to support operational and strategic objectives
Qualifications
- CPA designation required
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience
- Experience with ERP systems and integrated financial/manufacturing software
- Strong financial analysis, presentation, team-building, and communication skills
