$75,000 Facilities Coordinator – Décarie (100% On-Site)

Reporting to senior management, the Retail Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the technical operations and maintenance of a portfolio of commercial shopping centres. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems while overseeing maintenance activities, capital and operating budgets, and external service providers to deliver a high-quality environment for tenants and visitors.

Requirements:

Bilingual in English and French.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
1+ years of facilities management experience.
Strong knowledge of building mechanical and technical systems.
Experience managing projects, operating budgets, and service contracts.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities across the property portfolio.
Manage operating budgets (OPEX), ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
Coordinate repairs, renovations, tenant improvements, and major maintenance projects.
Administer service contracts and manage contractors and vendors, including mechanical, electrical, janitorial, snow removal, landscaping, and security services.
Monitor and maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and other critical infrastructure.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance, safety, and proper maintenance.
Work closely with tenants to address facility-related needs while minimizing operational disruptions during maintenance or construction activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices.
Prepare operational reports and recommendations to support continuous improvement initiatives.
