This is a hands‑on technical role ideal for someone looking to deepen their experience across infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies while taking ownership of escalated support and client-facing work.

This role offers real exposure to infrastructure environments rather than scripted or repetitive tasks, with opportunities to work directly on servers, networks, identity systems, and client projects. The successful candidate will balance day‑to‑day support with infrastructure initiatives while building toward a well‑rounded infrastructure engineering skill set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support IT infrastructure across client environments, including workstations, servers (physical and virtual), peripherals, and related hardware
  • Work with networking and infrastructure components such as switches, firewalls, and power systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure issues across supported environments

Service Desk Escalations and Operations

  • Handle Tier 2 escalations from the service desk
  • Monitor systems and respond to alerts and incidents
  • Support ongoing maintenance and issue resolution across client environments

Client Interaction

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with client stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Translate technical issues into clear, understandable language for non‑technical audiences

Operational Discipline

  • Document all work accurately and consistently
  • Maintain accurate time tracking and task updates
  • Follow established internal processes, standards, and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a post‑secondary program in Information Technology or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in an IT support or infrastructure role
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Windows environments
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms
  • Identity and access technologies (directory services, cloud identity)
  • Endpoint and device management
  • Backup and disaster recovery concepts
  • Security fundamentals
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills with a client‑service mindset
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a client‑focused environment
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable with a strong problem‑solving orientation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications (e.g., entry‑ to mid‑level infrastructure or networking certifications)
  • Exposure to IT service management practices
  • Experience working with ticketing systems
  • Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell)

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel locally to client sites as needed
  • Comfortable working hands‑on with IT infrastructure, including servers and network equipment
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and handling equipment

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

  • Learn internal processes, standards, and supported client environments
  • Begin handling tickets and assisting with infrastructure work

First 60 Days

  • Independently resolve Tier 2 support issues
  • Contribute meaningfully to installations and client support activities

First 90 Days

  • Consistently manage assigned work and escalations
  • Demonstrate strong technical capability, reliability, and ownership

Why This Opportunity

This role provides direct exposure to real infrastructure environments and real client challenges. The successful candidate will gain hands‑on experience with a wide range of technologies and build practical skills that support progression into senior infrastructure or engineering roles.
