Our client, a well-established organization in the sporting goods, outdoor recreation, and consumer products distribution industry, is seeking an experienced Digital Marketing & eCommerce Manager to join their team in Oshawa, Ontario

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic yet hands-on digital marketing and eCommerce professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will oversee eCommerce operations, CRM and marketing automation, digital platform enhancements, and cross-functional technology initiatives while driving online revenue, customer engagement, and operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute eCommerce and digital marketing strategies to drive online revenue, customer acquisition, retention, conversion, and profitability.
Oversee eCommerce website operations, including performance optimization, digital merchandising, product launches, promotional campaigns, and customer experience improvements.
Manage product information and catalogue operations across approximately 15,000 SKUs, ensuring accurate product attributes, pricing, categorization, content, and data integrity.
Lead CRM, email marketing, and marketing automation initiatives, including customer segmentation, personalized campaigns, automated journeys, and retention strategies.
Manage cross-functional digital projects, including website enhancements, platform upgrades, system integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with IT teams, external vendors, and internal stakeholders on technical requirements, user acceptance testing (UAT), quality assurance, and successful platform implementations.
Monitor eCommerce and digital marketing KPIs, develop performance dashboards, analyze customer behaviour, and identify opportunities to improve conversions and business performance.
Support annual digital marketing and eCommerce budgets, including expense management, ROI analysis, financial forecasting, and business cases for technology investments.
Provide direction and coordination to supporting team members and external partners while collaborating with Marketing, Operations, IT, Finance, and Customer Service.
Partner with international stakeholders and sister companies to share best practices, leverage digital technologies, and support broader business initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, CRM, or related disciplines, ideally within a complex, multi-brand, retail, distribution, or consumer products environment.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, eCommerce, Information Systems, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing eCommerce and digital marketing strategies that drive measurable revenue growth, customer engagement, and conversion improvements.
Strong hands-on knowledge of CRM, email marketing, customer segmentation, marketing automation, and customer lifecycle management.
Experience overseeing eCommerce websites, digital merchandising, product information management, and large-scale catalogue operations.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional digital projects, website enhancements, technology implementations, and system integrations.
Familiarity with enterprise digital platforms, including CMS, ERP, PIM, CRM, and marketing automation systems.
Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with digital performance reporting, dashboards, KPI analysis, and translating data into actionable business recommendations.
Experience managing budgets, evaluating ROI, developing business cases, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Excellent project management, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to independently manage competing priorities.
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud is considered an asset.
Experience collaborating with international teams or global organizations is an asset.
Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
