Our client, a growing food manufacturing organization is hiring a new position of Protein Procurement Buyer. This role is ideal for a purchasing professional who enjoys managing supplier relationships, forecasting demand, and driving service levels in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact between suppliers, customers, and internal commercial teams.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and manage supplier agreements and pricing.
- Work closely with Demand Planning to align supply with short- and long-term forecasts.
- Monitor inventory, supply shortages, and service level performance, implementing solutions as needed.
- Participate in S&OP meetings and support procurement decision-making.
- Provide procurement input for new product development, costing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain.
- Experience within food manufacturing is preferred.
- Protein or meat procurement experience is required.
- Strong forecasting, planning, and supplier management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
