SENIOR ACCOUNTANT | EDMONTON | 3–4 MONTH CONTRACT
I’m looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a manufacturing company in Edmonton on a 3–4 month contract.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who can step in quickly, support the month-end close, and contribute to accurate financial reporting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage month-end close activities.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Perform variance analysis and costing analysis.
- Calculate and record accruals.
- Review journal entries prepared by Junior Accountants.
- Support the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
What we’re looking for:
🔹 CPA designation.
🔹 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including financial statement preparation.
🔹 Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience.
🔹 Manufacturing experience is a strong asset.
🔹 Ability to review and provide guidance on junior-level accounting work.
🔹 Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will manage month-end close activities, prepare financial statements, and perform variance and costing analysis. They are also responsible for calculating accruals and reviewing journal entries prepared by junior staff.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a CPA designation and possess at least 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience. Experience in the manufacturing industry and strong financial reporting skills are highly preferred.
