Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Robert Half has partnered up with an industry leader to identify a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, experience preparing accurate and timely financial reports, and the ability to support a fast-paced, deadline-driven reporting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reporting packages.
• Support internal and external financial reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare supporting working papers, schedules, and disclosures for statutory and management reporting.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, audit, and operations to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with external audit requirements, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Review and analyze general ledger activity to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting processes, internal controls, and documentation.
• Support special projects related to technical accounting, process improvements, and system implementations, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or pursuit of CPA is considered an asset.
• Accepting public practice background or industry background
• 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Experience with financial statement preparation, month-end close, and account reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a collaborative environment.
