Our client, a leading global professional services organization, is seeking a Marketing Projects Senior Advisor to join their Marketing team in Toronto. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced and creative corporate events professional who enjoys developing unique event concepts, managing high-profile client experiences, and overseeing the full event lifecycle from initial planning through execution.

This is a hands-on, events-focused role that combines creative event planning, project management, marketing communications, and senior stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of corporate and client-facing events across Toronto and Ottawa, working closely with senior leadership, internal marketing teams, and external partners to deliver engaging and memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of corporate events, client receptions, networking experiences, webinars, and hybrid events.
  • Develop and pitch creative event concepts, identifying unique venues, experiences, and opportunities to enhance client engagement.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue sourcing, vendor negotiations, catering, budgets, timelines, invitations, and onsite coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, internal stakeholders, external vendors, and agency partners.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and design teams to develop event branding, invitations, promotional materials, and communications.
  • Manage multiple events and marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Oversee event registration, guest lists, RSVP management, and attendee communications.
  • Support the planning and execution of broader marketing initiatives, including sponsorships, client engagement campaigns, and digital marketing activities.
  • Monitor event outcomes, gather stakeholder feedback, and identify opportunities to improve future events.
  • Stay informed on Toronto's event venues, hospitality trends, and emerging experiential marketing opportunities.

What They're Looking For

  • 5-7+ years of experience in corporate events, event marketing, experiential marketing, event project management, or a related function.
  • Proven experience independently managing external-facing corporate or client events from concept through execution.
  • Experience within an events agency, professional services organization, financial institution, consulting firm, accounting firm, legal environment, or similar corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Toronto's corporate events landscape, including venues, restaurants, hospitality partners, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative event concepts and deliver engaging, high-quality guest experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events, competing priorities, and deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing event invitations, marketing communications, and client-facing materials.
  • Experience managing event budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, and onsite logistics.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with broader marketing and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with event registration, webinar, CRM, and marketing communication platforms.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within an event management or experiential marketing agency.
  • Background in professional services, legal, consulting, accounting, banking, or financial services.
  • Experience organizing high-profile networking events, executive receptions, client appreciation events, and experiential corporate events.
  • Established knowledge of Toronto's event venues, restaurants, vendors, and hospitality industry.
  • Experience with webinar platforms, CRM systems, and event marketing tools such as ON24, Vuture, InterAction, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting broader marketing initiatives, including sponsorships, digital campaigns, and client engagement activities.
