We are looking for a Senior Project Manager/ Scrum Master to lead engineering delivery for a hospitality-focused organization in Toronto, Ontario. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can guide teams through complex product and platform initiatives while fostering strong collaboration across technical and business groups. The successful candidate will bring experience in agile software delivery, platform oversight, and modern application development across web, mobile, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with the Agile Methodology. This is a long term contract role located in North York, Ontario - 3 days in office.
Responsibilities:
- Guide and support software engineers across multiple initiatives, creating a team environment focused on accountability, growth, and high-quality delivery.
- Oversee end-to-end execution of application development projects, from early planning and prioritization through launch and post-release stabilization.
- Manage platform operations alongside development activities, including production oversight, alert response, and service reliability monitoring.
- Partner with stakeholders across business and technical functions to align priorities, communicate progress, and address risks in a timely manner.
- Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and career development support through one-on-one meetings and structured development planning.
- Contribute to hiring efforts by participating in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding for engineering talent.
- Promote agile practices, engineering standards, and continuous improvement to strengthen delivery outcomes across teams.
- Coordinate complex cross-platform work involving distributed teams, varied priorities, and collaboration across multiple time zones.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience leading software development teams in an agile delivery setting.
- At least 4 years of experience managing application development projects from kickoff through go-live.
- 10+ years of overall experience in software development, including hands-on technical work.
- Strong knowledge of web, mobile, backend, and cloud-based application development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage platform operations, production support, monitoring, and alerting processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently across multiple teams while applying sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Experience with tools and practices such as Agile Scrum, Jira, QA coordination, Android or backend development, and enterprise-scale software delivery is considered an asset.
