Original job description

Robert Half is exclusively partnered with a well-established organization in Newmarket that is looking to hire a Senior Systems Administrator to lead infrastructure, security, and IT operations across the business.

This is a highly visible role that combines hands-on technical leadership with stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernizing the environment while helping the organization move further toward a cloud-first future.

What You'll Be Working On

Managing and mentoring the Network Administrator

Partnering with the MSP and managing the vendor relationship

Responding to issues affecting internal users and external clients

Identifying opportunities for infrastructure improvements and modernization

Making security recommendations and driving best practices

Supporting disaster recovery, redundancy, and business continuity initiatives

Leading and contributing to infrastructure-related projects

Acting as a trusted technology advisor to leadership and business stakeholders

This role offers significant autonomy and influence, with the objective of allowing the VP, IT to transition away from day-to-day operational IT responsibilities.
