Introduction:
Robertson is seeking a skilled IT - Site Reliability Engineer IV to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.
Contract Period: 12 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting form $70 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid
Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core business hours
Job Responsibilities:
- Appetite for contributing within a complex and critical environment
- Experience deploying, managing and operating complex applications in a Cloud environment e.g. Azure
- Understanding of shell script, PowerShell, Python and the ability to code for automation
- Understanding critical concepts in DevOps (CI, CD, CM, IaC etc.) and Agile principles
- Readiness and motivation (as senior or lead developer and valued subject matter expert) to address and resolve highly complex and multifaceted development-related issues, often independently
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience in infrastructure, services and application monitoring and logging
- Configuring and managing big data technologies / databases and understanding of various approaches to data storage and indexing is an asset
- Undergraduate Degree required
- Cloud experience e.g. Azure Services including IaaS, IaC, ASP
- Databricks experience
- Configuration management tools e.g. SALT, terraform, Ansible or CHEF
- Development/Engineering experience e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Shell, Python
- Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Nexus or similar toolsets

Deploy, manage, and operate complex applications in cloud environments, while contributing to reliability in a critical and complex setting. Automate infrastructure and development processes, monitor services and applications, and independently troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Requirements
An undergraduate degree and experience with cloud services such as Azure, including infrastructure as a service and infrastructure as code, are required. The role also calls for engineering or development experience with scripting languages, configuration management tools, CI/CD toolsets, and familiarity with Databricks.
