The Client:Our client is a leading Canadian financial institution undergoing a major transformation within its Capital Markets and Asset Servicing environment. As part of a large-scale derivatives migration initiative, the organization is modernizing its operational and technology platforms to improve trade processing, reporting capabilities, and client servicing functions.
What you will achieve in this role:- Lead the end-to-end testing strategy for a complex derivatives platform migration program.
- Own all phases of testing, including test planning, test execution, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), End-to-End (E2E) testing, regression testing, and production validation.
- Define test scope, test approach, entry and exit criteria, test scenarios, and overall testing governance.
- Coordinate testing activities across business, operations, technology, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Lead defect triage sessions, risk assessments, issue escalation, and resolution management.
- Validate the successful migration of derivatives transactions, positions, lifecycle events, and reporting data.
- Ensure testing environments, test data, and dependencies are in place to support execution timelines.
- Provide testing metrics, executive reporting, and readiness assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support production deployment activities, cutover testing, hypercare planning, and post-implementation validation.
- Act as the primary testing lead and subject matter expert for all QA activities within the program.
What you must bring to this role:- 8+ years of experience in QA Leadership, Test Management, or End-to-End Testing roles within Capital Markets.
- Proven experience leading testing workstreams for large-scale migration, transformation, or platform replacement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of ETD (Exchange Traded Derivatives) and OTC Derivative products (MUST HAVE).
- Demonstrated experience leading End-to-End (E2E) testing programs (MUST HAVE).
- Hands-on experience managing:
- SIT
- UAT
- Integration Testing
- Regression Testing
- Production Readiness Testing
- Defect Management
- Experience validating data migrations, reconciliation processes, and complex operational workflows.
- Strong knowledge of testing governance, defect tracking, risk management, and testing metrics.
- Previous experience within Capital Markets and/or Asset Servicing environments (MUST HAVE).
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including collaboration with business, operations, technology, and vendor teams.
- Experience providing testing updates and risk reporting to senior leadership and program stakeholders.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Nice to Have:- Experience with derivatives platforms such as Broadridge, Murex, Calypso, FIS, or similar solutions.
- Previous experience supporting custody, clearing, collateral management, or asset servicing operations.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or other test management tools.
- Experience participating in large-scale Capital Markets transformation programs.
Pay Range:$80 - $100/hr
