Our client is a growing Canadian medical device manufacturer specializing in innovative, patient-specific technologies for use in acute care surgical environments. With more than 10 years of medical engineering experience, the company designs, manufactures, and commercializes custom and standard products used in orthopedic, oncology, and other specialized surgical procedures. Its human medical portfolio includes customized implants, patient-specific cutting guides, surgical instruments, and other technologies developed in collaboration with surgeons and healthcare professionals.

As the organization expands its presence in Quebec’s acute care market, it is seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial Territory Manager based in the Greater Montreal area to develop new hospital business, build strong relationships with surgeons and clinical teams, and support adoption of its specialized medical technologies.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys introducing innovative surgical products, developing a territory, and working closely with healthcare professionals to address specific clinical and procedural needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to increase product awareness, adoption, and revenue within acute care facilities throughout Quebec.
Build trusted relationships with orthopedic surgeons, oncology surgeons, operating room teams, nurses, procurement professionals, and hospital decision-makers.
Introduce healthcare professionals to the company’s patient-specific medical devices, customized implants, cutting guides, surgical instruments, and standard surgical products.
Conduct product presentations, clinical demonstrations, evaluations, and educational programs for surgeons and hospital teams.
Provide clinical and product support before, during, and after surgical procedures as needed.
Support surgeons and hospital stakeholders throughout the evaluation, approval, and adoption process.
Navigate hospital procurement requirements, product evaluations, and complex acute care sales cycles.
Represent the organization at relevant medical conferences, clinical meetings, and professional events.

The Ideal Candidate

Education and Training

A university or college degree in Business, Health Sciences, or a related discipline is preferred.
Clinical education or experience within an operating room, orthopedic, oncology, or acute care environment is considered an asset.

Work Experience and Accomplishments

Demonstrated success in medical device, orthopedic, surgical, or acute care sales.
Experience developing new business and introducing medical technologies into hospitals.
Established relationships with surgeons, operating room teams, or hospital stakeholders within the assigned territory of Quebec would be highly advantageous.
Proven ability to develop a territory, open new hospital accounts, and guide customers through product evaluation and adoption.
Experience supporting surgical procedures and providing clinical product education is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success managing multiple hospital stakeholders and longer, complex sales cycles.
A history of consistently achieving sales and business development objectives.

Skills and Competencies

Fully bilingual in French and English.
Must reside in the greater Montreal area and be able to travel throughout Quebec and nationally to conferences as needed.
Entrepreneurial and self-directed, with the initiative required to develop a growing territory.
Strong hunter mentality with the persistence to establish new surgeon and hospital relationships.
Strong clinical aptitude and the ability to understand and confidently present specialized surgical technologies.
Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized, with strong territory planning, opportunity management, and follow-up discipline.
