Original job description

Rohit Group is a fully diversified Canadian real estate development and investment organization with more than $1.3 billion in assets under management and annual revenue above $500 million. We deliver more than 1,500 homes and 800 serviced lots a year across Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon and Ottawa, and our businesses span homebuilding, land development, rental living, commercial real estate and partnership-based public infrastructure. For nearly 40 years we have made the communities we touch beyond the expected.

We are growing quickly, and many of our people have joined us in the last two years. They bring energy and new ideas, and we want them to stay, to grow with us and to become the experienced Rohitians who carry our company to 2032. We are looking for a Manager, Employee Experience to make sure that everyone who joins Rohit finds friends, purpose and a reason to build their career here.

The Role

Reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture, you will lead culture and employee experience across every division and city. You will create the moments that bring Rohitians together, from a new hire’s first day to a holiday food drive to a company-wide celebration, and you will be measured on whether people stay. This is a retention role, and events, mentoring, recognition and community work are how you will deliver it.

What You Will Do

Design a first ninety days that connects every new Rohitian with colleagues across the company, including a buddy before day one and quarterly new-hire cohorts in every region.
Build peer mentoring and cross-divisional connections for employees in their first two years.
Own and deliver a 12-month culture calendar that reaches head office, sales centres, job sites and rental communities in every city.
Lead Rohit’s employee community-giving program, bringing people from different divisions together around causes that matter in the communities we build.
Run recognition and milestone programs that bring Rohit’s four values to life.
Equip supervisors to onboard their people well, and track whether it happens.
Listen through stay interviews and pulse surveys, and report culture and retention to leaders in business terms.

What You Bring

Seven or more years in employee experience, engagement, culture, internal communications or HR, including at least three leading programs across multiple locations.
Results you can point to in retention or engagement, not just events delivered.
Experience building onboarding, mentoring and recognition programs that people used.
Experience planning events and retreats across several cities, and engaging field or front-line teams.
Confident facilitation, strong storytelling, and comfort with survey data and HR systems.
Post-secondary education in HR, communications, business or a related field; the CPHR designation or an employee experience certification is an asset.

What You Are Measured On

People stay. Early-tenure turnover falls and first-year retention rises in every division.
Belonging from day one. Every new hire has a buddy, a cohort and a supervisor equipped to onboard them well.
People who know people. New Rohitians build friendships and networks across the company.
A shared purpose. Every city has regular reasons to come together and give back.
A culture people can feel. Rohit’s values show up in daily behaviour, and leaders see culture data alongside their results.

Why Rohit

You will shape the experience of a company that intends to more than double in size by 2032.
You will have a national canvas, from design-led homes and master-planned communities to commercial assets and public infrastructure partnerships.
Your work will be visible in our communities as well as inside our offices.
We are Bold: unwavering, entrepreneurial, unafraid and unexpected. If that describes how you work, you will fit well at Rohit.
