The Facilities Millwright is responsible for ensuring that multiple equipment types within the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) are fully operational. The incumbent works in a high performing team that is capable of analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing broken equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance tasks. The Facilities Millwright works with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and contractors to coordinate new construction and facilities repair work, all while ensuring that it is completed in compliance with federal and local regulations.

Shifts Available:

Day shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

Always work safely to protect the well-being of yourself, your team, and those around you
Monitor key performance indicators and strive to achieve or exceed performance goals
Fix equipment breakdowns to minimize impact on distribution center operations
Prioritize work in accordance with business priorities and complete work by scheduled due dates
Prepare documentation and records to facilitate communication and planning
Complete preventative maintenance work on-time according to schedule
Develop and complete projects to drive continuous improvement
Work collaboratively with other maintenance professionals as a part of a team
Actively build positive team spirit and engagement through leadership
Successful candidates must be willing to support Operations in continuous improvement projects
Snow removal and landscaping duties as required
Other general facility repairs as required (Drywall repair/painting etc.)

Qualification Standards:

Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safety among subordinates and peers
Qualification or significant work experience as an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright.
Consideration will also be given to candidates possessing an Electrician - Construction & Maintenance or an Industrial Electrician Certificate Of Qualification, but these individuals must have supplementary experience or qualifications in the maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Experience with mechanical maintenance, repairs and inspections.
Solid working experience of mechanical drives
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Can make solid decisions quickly based on limited information.
Experience managing time and budgets
Ability and willingness to build rapport and trust with others
Experience with repairing/maintaining some of the following types of systems or equipment:

Preferred Qualifications:

Red Seal Certification as an Industrial Mechanic / Millwright
Mechanical maintenance experience in a distribution center setting
Ability to operate heavy equipment via front end loader and skidstear
