Department/Unit/Program Description
The Environmental Services Department strives to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The duties of the department are carried out to the highest possible standard in accordance with infection prevention and control best practices.
Position Summary
The Environmental Services Department is currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Environmental Services II team member.
Effective Date: November 30, 2026
Essential Qualifications
Rotation of 8 hour day, evening and night shifts Monday through Sunday. Shifts and hours may vary according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.

Essential Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
- Demonstrated high level of communication, organizational and time management skills
- Must be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and periods of bending/stooping
- Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job as per the current Physical Demands Analysis
- Must have, or be willing to successfully complete training in a number of required competencies including CPI, WHMIS, etc.
- Previous housekeeping/groundskeeping experience in a health care setting or similar institution

Requirements
A Grade 12 education or equivalent is required, along with effective communication, cooperation, organization, and time-management skills. The role requires physical fitness for heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending, and the ability to complete required training such as CPI and WHMIS; healthcare or institutional housekeeping or groundskeeping experience is preferred.
