The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

Designing and developing applications and systems to support engine testing, with an initial emphasis on thermodynamic analysis tools, vibration analysis tools and engine production systems;
Collaborating with software project teams in an agile environment to plan execution steps, conduct code reviews, create test plans, and ensure requirements are met;
Streamlining solution development and deployment by leveraging DevSecOps methodologies and tools;
Working closely with internal engineering and operations teams focused on engine testing to address their technical requirements;
Supporting engine test integration by setting up new test environments and systems to enhance testing capabilities;
Ensuring the ongoing functionality and reliability of applications and systems related to engine testing through maintenance and support activities.

What do you need to be successful?

Bachelor's degree in software/computer engineering, electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering with 8+ years of experience (or 5+ years with a Master’s degree);
Experience as a Full-Stack developer, with expertise in languages and frameworks such as C/C++, Java, JavaScript, FORTRAN, Vue.js;
Experience with SQL, Oracle DB and associated tools;
Solid knowledge of software architecture, implementation, validation, and the software development lifecycle;
Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with DevSecOps tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and GitHub.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of engine thermodynamics, vibration analysis and Manufacturing Execution Systems is an asset.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien ?

Concevoir et développer des applications et des systèmes pour soutenir les essais moteurs, avec un emphase initial sur les outils d'analyse thermodynamique, les outils d'analyse vibratoire et les systèmes de production de moteurs;
Collaborer avec des équipes de projets logiciels dans un environnement agile pour planifier les étapes d'exécution, effectuer des revues de code, créer des plans de test et garantir le respect des requis;
Rationaliser le développement et le déploiement des solutions en s'appuyant sur les méthodologies et outils DevSecOps;
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes d'ingénierie et d’opérations internes spécialisées en essaies moteurs pour répondre à leurs exigences techniques;
Contribuer à l'intégration des essais moteurs en configurant de nouveaux environnements et systèmes de test pour améliorer les capacités d'essai;
Garantir la fonctionnalité et la fiabilité continues des applications et des systèmes liés aux essais moteurs grâce à des activités de maintenance et de support.

Qu’est-ce qu’il vous faut pour réussir ?

Baccalauréat en génie logiciel/informatique, électrique, mécanique ou aérospatial avec au moins 8 ans d'expérience (ou 5+ ans avec un diplôme de maîtrise);
Expérience en tant que développeur Full-Stack, avec une expertise dans des langages et des frameworks tels que C/C++, Java, JavaScript, FORTRAN, Vue.js;
Expérience avec SQL, Oracle DB et les outils qui y sont associés;
Solide connaissance de l'architecture logicielle, de la mise en œuvre, de la validation et du cycle de vie du développement logiciel;
Expérience pratique des cadres Agile (par exemple, Scrum, Kanban) et une familiarité avec les outils DevSecOps tels que Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence et GitHub.
Ce poste s’inscrit dans un milieu de travail francophone, néanmoins il nécessite une très bonne connaissance de l’anglais pour lire et comprendre, sur une base quotidienne, de la documentation et des termes techniques qui peuvent émaner d’organisations internationales, ainsi que pour écrire et communiquer en anglais avec des clients, des fournisseurs ou des collègues internationaux.

Qualifications privilégiées

Une connaissance des analyses thermodynamiques, des analyses vibratoires et des systèmes d’exécution de la fabrication serait un atout majeur.
