Engineer-In-Training (EIT)
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team, on a 1-year contract, supporting the design, development and testing of engineering activities within an integrated project team. The primary focus of this position is supporting engineering activities for various Technical Investigation Engineering Support (TIES) contracts and new programs as awarded.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on mechanical design projects by creating CAD drawings, models and other engineering work products.
- Support the integration of electrical and software components into design projects.
- Develop and manage systems engineering documentation, including specifications, interface control documents, test requirements and test plans.
- Produce or contribute to customer and vendor facing documents such as statements of work, technical investigation reports, and other engineering documentation.
- Conduct trade studies and recommend new technologies to meet required capability advancements.
- Perform job analysis to estimate engineering effort required for specific tasks, and tests parameters.
- Ensure adherence to Raytheon Canada Limited’s engineering policies and procedures.
- Provide support for existing programs, including technical investigations, integration, and participation in program review meetings.
- Assist other engineering staff with system engineering challenges and manage technical requirements.
- Perform additional technical duties as required to support the project and production goals.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from an engineering program in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Systems Design, Aerospace or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, experience with SolidWorks is an asset.
- Experience supporting systems engineering, integration or development environment.
- Familiarity with modeling and simulation applications would be an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
