RunSensible is an all-in-one legal practice management platform that helps law firms manage client intake, matters, documents, appointments, billing, and legal accounting. We bring these essential functions together so legal professionals can spend less time managing disconnected systems and more time serving their clients.

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Representative with a legal background and strong communication skills to join our team in Thornhill.

You’ll connect with lawyers, paralegals, and law firm decision-makers to understand their workflows and introduce them to RunSensible. From the first conversation through follow-ups and product demonstrations, you’ll build relationships by asking thoughtful questions, communicating clearly, and demonstrating a practical understanding of each firm’s needs.

We’re looking for someone who brings initiative, persistence, and a professional approach to sales - someone who listens carefully, communicates confidently, and follows through. You’ll receive product training, sales coaching, and ongoing guidance to build your knowledge and confidence in legal technology sales.

What You’ll Do

Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls and personalized emails to law firms and legal professionals.
Identify prospective customers, understand their current workflows, and qualify their interest in RunSensible.
Explain relevant product features and how they address a firm’s day-to-day needs.
Schedule and deliver product demonstrations after completing training.
Maintain consistent follow-up, respond to product questions, and help prospects move forward in their evaluation.
Keep contact information, conversation notes, sales opportunities, and follow-up activities organized in our CRM.
Assist with customer communication and onboarding, and support the preparation, review, and updating of legal forms and document templates under team guidance.
Assist with drafting, reviewing, and updating legal forms, document templates, and related content under team guidance. Proofread for clarity, completeness, formatting, and consistency, and flag legal-content questions for internal review.

What You’ll Bring

Completed post-secondary studies in law, paralegal studies, or a related field.
Graduation within the past two years to meet program eligibility requirements.
At least one year of related experience in a law firm or in a sales role.
Strong spoken and written English.

You should be comfortable initiating conversations, making cold calls, and presenting to legal professionals. Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage follow-ups are essential, along with a willingness to learn new software and apply feedback.

Experience with outbound sales, CRM systems, software demonstrations, or legal practice management software is an asset.
