We are currently seeking two motivated individuals for the position of Plasma Operator within our Nisku, AB location (701 15TH Ave). This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Plant Coordinator.

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo pre-employment testing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Cut and package steel parts as per customer specs
• Inspect and measure all material to verify conformance to customer specifications using instruments such as tape measures, calipers and micrometers
• Ensure that equipment is operating properly
• Ensure all pre-shift inspections are completed
• Operate overhead cranes & Forklifts
• Perform weekly, monthly & annual maintenance on machines
• Work efficiently and safely to ensure deadlines are met

Education and Skills Required:

• Minimum 3 years experience operating plasma/oxy fuel torches 
• Previous experience in a steel shop considered an asset  
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Forklift & Overhead Crane experience an asset
• Proficient in performing mathematical calculations with ability to read a tape measure / caliper
• Reliable
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop drawings and other documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Self-Motivated & Customer Service driven
• Must be able to work rotating shifts

Shift Hours: 7-3:30pm, 3:00-11:30pm, 11pm-7:30am (Rotating every 2-4 weeks)

Wage: $30.00/hr to start, $32.00/hr after 3 months
