Russell Tobin & Associates is hiring on behalf of one of its esteemed clients.
Job Title: DevOPS/Cloud Engineer
Location: Toronto ON (5 Days Onsite)
Duration: 6 months (Possible extension)
Client: Public Sector
Pay Rate: $80 - $85/hour [CAD]
Must Have:
- GitHub Actions and Javascript/python AWS CDK experience, including secure AWS authentication, reusable delivery workflows, infrastructure testing, environment promotion, CloudFormation deployment, rollback, and troubleshooting.
- Amazon ECS on AWS Fargate, Docker, Amazon ECR, and EC2 Auto Scaling experience, including service configuration, scaling, load balancing, health checks, observability, image or runtime troubleshooting, and host-level diagnostics.
- AWS networking and security experience, including VPCs, subnets, routes, NAT, endpoints, DNS, security groups, IAM, AWS KMS keys, encryption, and detailed troubleshooting of AWS Glue job network connectivity.
- Infrastructure provisioning and operations experience for AWS Glue, Amazon Data Firehose, AWS DMS, Amazon S3, Amazon CloudFront, AWS WAF, monitoring, logging, and production incident support

Responsibilities
Build and operate AWS infrastructure and delivery workflows, including secure authentication, infrastructure testing, environment promotion, CloudFormation deployments, and rollback. Configure and troubleshoot containerized services, AWS networking and security, data services, monitoring, logging, and production incidents.
Requirements
Experience with GitHub Actions, JavaScript or Python, and AWS CDK is required, including reusable delivery workflows and CloudFormation deployment practices. Candidates must also have hands-on experience with AWS container services, networking and security, data infrastructure, troubleshooting, and production operations.
