Licensed Practical Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support Emergency Room (ER) departments in acute-care healthcare settings. The LPN will provide timely, safe, and patient-centered care to individuals presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergency medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with emergency procedures, treatments, and clinical interventions under the direction of RNs and physicians.
• Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
• Perform wound care, IV-related procedures, specimen collection, and other nursing duties as permitted.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and emergency department protocols.
• Provide compassionate patient and family support during urgent and stressful situations.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN license in the applicable province or jurisdiction.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Recent Emergency Room/ED experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Schedule & Shifts: Full-time hours; Day, Evening, and Night shifts based on facility requirements
