Position Summary
Russell Tobin is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Maternity for a travel nursing assignment at Dawson Creek, British Columbia. This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized maternal and newborn care in a supportive acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients.
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor patient progression throughout labor and delivery.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Support newborn care, breastfeeding education, and postpartum recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure continuity of care.
- Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
Qualifications
- Active RN registration with BCCNM.
- Recent Maternity/Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- Current Perinatal Certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
- Fetal Heart Monitoring certification/experience recommended.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Compensation & Travel Benefits
- Competitive pay rate: CAD $53 -$68 per hour
