Position Summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Maternity for a travel nursing assignment at Dawson Creek, British Columbia. This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized maternal and newborn care in a supportive acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients.
• Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor patient progression throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Support newborn care, breastfeeding education, and postpartum recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure continuity of care.
• Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies and changes in patient condition.

Qualifications

• Active RN registration with BCCNM.
• Recent Maternity/Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Current Perinatal Certification.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring certification/experience recommended.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
