Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Position Summary:
Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for an assignment in Sechelt, British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to provide high-quality post-operative care, monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, and work alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications, pain management therapies, and prescribed treatments.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while adhering to patient safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU, Critical Care, Surgical Services, or Acute Care experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
