Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically fit Shipping & Inventory Coordinator to support shipping, receiving, inventory management, and general warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing orders, tracking shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, distributing departmental mail, and handling controlled and serialized materials.

This role requires hands-on warehouse experience, proficiency in operating a reach truck, and the ability to safely use material handling equipment. Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately within 24–48 hours of receipt or established service-level timelines.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and bulk distribution of orders as required.
  • Receive incoming stock, verify quantities, and submit packing slips and related documentation within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, including waybill numbers, parcel counts, shipping dates, serialized ranges, and special instructions.
  • Update shipping databases and inventory management systems daily.
  • Perform cyclical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, replenish stock, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Organize warehouse stock and follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory rotation procedures.
  • Handle high-security, controlled, and serialized materials with care and accuracy.
  • Safely operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment in accordance with workplace safety procedures.
  • Follow Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in warehouse safety inspections.
  • Support departmental mail distribution and general warehouse activities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, solve problems, and work independently or collaboratively as required.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of shipping and inventory control experience in a warehouse environment, including cyclical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation using a computer system.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on reach truck operating experience. Counterbalance forklift experience alone will not meet this requirement.
  • Must possess personal CSA-approved safety footwear and wear it in the warehouse.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting boxes weighing up to 35 lbs and performing regular standing, bending, reaching, and lifting activities.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in handling inventory and shipment records.
  • Ability to work onsite in Edmonton, Alberta, during the specified working hours.
  • Willingness to complete the required criminal record check and mandatory workplace training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid reach truck training and certification. A copy of the certificate should be included with the resume, if available.
  • Ability to accurately type at least 35 words per minute (WPM), with assessment results attached to the resume.
  • At least 1 year of experience using supply chain software such as JD Edwards or Microsoft Dynamics GP to manage sales and inventory transactions.
  • At least 2 years of accurate data processing or data entry experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience using computerized inventory management systems or online shipping platforms, such as Loomis or Purolator.
  • At least 1 year of experience safely operating material handling equipment, such as power pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, shrink wrappers, or strapping equipment.
  • At least 1 year of experience handling controlled or serialized inventory, high-value products, or working in a secure environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience with OHS standards, warehouse safety protocols, OHS committees, and working-alone procedures.

If this opportunity matches your experience and career goals, please share your most updated resume for consideration.
