Job Title: Software Developer - Junior
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)
Duration: 7 months (Possible extension)
Client: Public Sector
Pay Rate: $60 - $65/hr [CAD]
Must Have Skills:
- Experience translating technical specifications into working, tested applications.
- Strong experience in software development, programming, coding, testing, debugging, and application maintenance.
- Experience throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using structured development methodologies.
- Experience with application design, deployment, troubleshooting, and technical problem resolution.
- Experience with Informatica IDMC/CDGC, Azure Data Platform, SQL Server, SQL, ETL, and data integration.
- Experience with Data Marketplace, Metadata Management, Data Governance, and API/Metadata Automation.
- Experience with Power BI and data-driven application development.
- Experience with relational and/or hierarchical database technologies and information retrieval using query languages.
- Experience collaborating with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
- Experience supporting implementation, conversion, migration, and post-implementation activities.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Experience documenting applications, technical specifications, and development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes:
- developing detailed programming specifications
- writing and/or generating code
- compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests
- Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations
