Product Designer (AI Focused)

Our tech client is building a software platform that powers digital experiences for consumers. They’re investing heavily in AI and looking for a designer who wants to shape how intelligent, personalized products look and feel.

You’ll join a small, ambitious product team where design influences direction. You’ll own projects from early concept through to launch, designing app and web experiences used by real people every day, and using AI tools throughout your process to move faster and explore more.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing polished, intuitive interfaces for mobile and web products
• Turning complex problems into clear user flows, prototypes and finished designs
• Designing AI-enabled features such as personalization, smart recommendations, conversational interfaces and automation
• Using AI tools (e.g. Figma AI, Claude or similar) to speed up research, ideation and production
• Working closely with product and engineering to ship quickly and iterate on feedback
• Building and maintaining a scalable design system

What we’re looking for

• A strong portfolio showing end-to-end product or UX/UI work, ideally mobile and/or SaaS
• Excellent Figma and prototyping skills
• Hands-on experience using AI in your design workflow, or real curiosity and appetite to learn fast
• A point of view on what good AI-driven UX looks like
• Comfort in a start-up or scale-up environment: adaptable, proactive, happy to wear a few hats
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach

Location: Ottawa, Hybrid (in office 2 days per week)
