Job Description

Are you passionate about fashion, have a great eye for product, and love creating pieces that become wardrobe favorites? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where creativity, curiosity, and fresh ideas are encouraged?

At RW&CO, we're looking for a Designer – Knits to help shape one of our brand's largest and most important product categories.

From everyday essentials to standout seasonal pieces, Knits is a high-volume category that plays a key role in our men's and women's collections. We're looking for someone who understands how individual pieces come together to build a complete wardrobe, with a strong sense of style and a desire to continuously elevate our product and brand.

Reporting to the Senior Designer for the category, you'll work closely with Design, Buying, and cross-functional partners to bring exciting, commercially relevant collections to life.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a key category, explore new creative directions, and contribute to the continued evolution of RW&CO.

What You'll Do

  • Design with purpose: Create and develop men's and women's knitwear collections that balance style, versatility, quality, and commercial appeal.
  • Think beyond the product: Build cohesive collections that complement the full RW&CO. wardrobe and reflect our evolving brand vision.
  • Elevate the everyday: Bring fresh ideas, thoughtful details, and a refined aesthetic to both essential and fashion-forward pieces.
  • Bring ideas to life: Develop sketches, technical packages, specifications, and product details, guiding designs from concept through development.
  • Stay ahead of trends: Research silhouettes, fabrics, colours, textures, and market trends to inspire relevant and distinctive collections.
  • Collaborate and create: Partner closely with the Senior Designer, Buying team, and vendors to ensure strong product execution in a fast-moving, high-volume category.
  • Embrace what's next: Explore new creative approaches, including AI-powered design tools, and contribute to evolving our design processes and ways of working.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in fashion design, ideally in knits, knitwear, or related apparel categories.
  • A great eye for product, colour, fabric, fit, and the details that elevate a collection.
  • Strong technical design skills, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and technical package development.
  • Understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit, and the product development process.
  • A creative, collaborative, and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication skills and curiosity about new design approaches, including AI-powered tools.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English to collaborate with suppliers and partners outside Canada.

Why This Role?

Knits is at the heart of the RW&CO wardrobe and represents an exciting opportunity to influence one of our most visible and important categories.

You'll work alongside an experienced Senior Designer, collaborate with passionate teams, and help shape collections that customers reach for every day, while contributing to the continued growth and elevation of the brand.

If you love great product, think creatively, and get excited about building collections that make a real impact, we'd love to meet you!
