  • Lead localization initiatives that reduce tariff exposure and supply chain risk
  • Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs and performance metrics
  • Identify, qualify, negotiate, and manage suppliers throughout Canada and the U.S. across categories including commercial off-the-shelf components, electrical and controls, pneumatics and motion control, machined and fabricated parts, weldments, assemblies, and contract manufacturing services
  • Build strategic supplier partnerships focused on quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and long-term growth
  • Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and qualification reviews
  • Drive cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
  • Monitor market conditions and supplier capacity constraints
  • Collaborate with Finance and project leaders to support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management to identify material requirements and long-lead components
  • Develop alternate sourcing strategies and last-time-buy recommendations
  • Work with Engineering to support component standardization and approved vendor strategies
  • Develop supplier scorecards and conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers
  • Monitor supplier quality, delivery, responsiveness, and commercial competitiveness
  • Lead corrective action activities for underperforming suppliers
  • Establish continuous improvement expectations throughout the supplier network
  • Improve procurement and sourcing processes within Genius ERP and future enterprise systems
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into supplier and sourcing performance
  • Standardize procurement procedures, sourcing methodologies, and supplier onboarding processes

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field
  • SCMP, CSCP, CPSM, CPIM, or equivalent designation an asset
  • 7–10 years of progressive supply chain/procurement/sourcing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven experience building supplier networks across Canada and the U.S., ideally within industrial machinery, automation, or packaging equipment
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
