Original job description
Looking for a full-time labourer to complete building of large shop in Parkland County close to Stony Plain, AB. The job should be completed by mid-December, so the position is full time, but will likely finish up by December. Carpentry experience would be an asset. Position will be paid by the hour, and hourly wage will depend on amount of experience.
Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing work areas, removing debris, and ensuring walkways and work zones remain safe and organized. The role may involve basic use of hand and power tools, setting up scaffolding or temporary structures, and following directions from site leads.
Qualifications
- Must live in Alberta and be a Canadian citizen.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in the elements from October - December.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools, and willingness to learn proper and safe operation on the job.
- Reliable transportation to Parkland County, AB job sites and ability to work full-time schedules in varying weather conditions.
- Previous construction or general labor experience is required.
