Client: Citi - AI Engineer

We are seeking a position of AI Engineer role for Citi based in Mississauga, ON, Canada. The role focuses on designing, building, and deploying Python-based AI/LLM applications and scalable enterprise solutions, with responsibilities spanning AI-powered analytics, data pipelines, API development, performance optimization, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy Python-based AI/LLM applications using FastAPI/Flask.
Develop REST APIs and scalable enterprise solutions.
Build AI-powered data analytics and self-service platforms.
Optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
Collaborate with Risk stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions.
Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and mentor engineering teams.

Required Skills

Strong Python development with FastAPI or Flask.
Experience building production-grade AI/LLM applications.
Solid SQL, data modeling, and data engineering fundamentals.
Expertise in concurrency, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
Experience with testing, production support, and system reliability.
Strong architectural design and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

Agentic AI, RAG, LangChain/LangGraph, or Talk-to-Data solutions.
Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Redis.
OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus.
CI/CD using Jenkins or GitHub Actions, DevOps/GitOps.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
8+ years of software engineering experience.
