We are seeking an experienced
Solution Architect to support the Province of New Brunswick, with strong experience in IM/IT, application and solutions architecture, enterprise application development, .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Java, JavaScript, and large-scale healthcare applications. The successful candidate will work closely with the My Health NB PHN project team and various business, technical, support, and healthcare stakeholders to lead and participate in the analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, and stabilization of technical solutions.

Work Location and Engagement Requirements
The successful candidate is required to work
onsite, full time for the duration of the engagement, with SNB at
HSBC Place Fredericton, NB.
SNB will provide office space with access to pertinent information and resources for the duration of the engagement.
The ability to work remotely, in Fredericton, may be possible, as required and only at the client's request and consent; however, the successful candidate must be available for periodic in-person meetings.
Role Overview
Mandatory Requirements
- A degree from a recognized University in Computer Science or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Education Information Required: Candidates must provide the education level achieved (degree, etc.), name of University/College where education was received, along with start and end dates.
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of demonstrated experience in IM/IT – 15 years
- A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Programmer/Systems Analyst – 5 years
- A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as an Application / Solutions Architect – 3 years
- The candidate must be available to start work immediately in Fredericton, NB on the date specified in Section 8 of the SOW.

- Demonstrated experience working with Provincial Health Care and Electronic Health Care applications in a Canadian context – 8+ Years
- Demonstrated experience developing, documenting, coding, testing and implementing technical solutions to meet the business requirements – 8+ Years
- Demonstrated experience with large software systems consisting of web interfaces, batch processes, time-based transactions, long running transactions and multiple integration points – 5+ Years
- Demonstrated experience in architecture where multiple systems and domains must be considered from an enterprise view – 5+ Years
- Demonstrated experience analysing, designing, and implementing performance improvements for large-scale enterprise applications – 5+ Years
- Demonstrated experience as a .NET developer – 8+ Years
- Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SQL Server – 8+ Years
- Demonstrated experience as a developer with JAVA, JavaScript – 5+ Years
Deliverables
The successful candidate must deliver the following, in order to successfully complete the engagement:
- Work closely with the My Health NB PHN project team members, including Program Manager, Solution Architect, Project Manager, and Lead Business Analyst, on overall direction, scope, and deliverables for the PHN (Personal Health Number) Registry
- Lead and participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of enhancements required for the Medicare or other Application(s)
- Lead and participate in the PHN technical working group
- Lead the design and development for the team, including code reviews and design review
- Work with the various stakeholders, including:
- Medicare Business Team
- Medicare Application Support Team
- eHealth NB Support Team
- Health Solutions Strategists
- DBAs
- Ensure that secure application design and coding requirements are met for base implementation
- Support the development of the test plan for User Acceptance Testing
- Support the documentation of functional and technical design specifications
- Support system testing and defect management processes
- Support production stabilization and code fixes
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as updating team documentation as required, participating in team scrums as required, etc.
