We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer with extensive experience in n-tier web-based applications, Java EE (J2EE), database technologies, cloud-native technologies, front-end and back-end development, and DevOps. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Core Java, Spring, JSF, MyBatis ORM Framework, Servlets, React, Angular, RESTful services, Oracle databases, Azure Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), WebSphere Liberty, and Open Liberty. The successful candidate will contribute to application architecture, software development, data pipelines, system integration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and the maintenance of large-scale, business-critical applications while ensuring security, scalability, performance, and accessibility compliance.

Must Have

  • Experience in n-tier web-based applications, database technologies, software, tools, Java EE (J2EE), and cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience with complex programming concepts and languages, including JSF, Spring, MyBatis ORM Framework, Servlets, Core Java, Liberty, Oracle 19c+, Intext, React, Apache My Faces, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, RESTful Services, and XML.
  • Experience with development tools and technologies, including Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, and ANT Build.
  • Experience working across multiple platforms, including Solaris, Linux, and Windows, along with system testing methods and DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), WebSphere Liberty or Open Liberty, and the DevOps toolchain.

Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
  • Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining applications, and conducting unit tests.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems that arise during the use and operation of software packages, including providing technical assistance with implementation, conversion, and migrations.

General Skills

  • Experience in programming and analysis, including specialized software package support at the specified experience level.
  • Ability to collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
  • Experience in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.

Full Stack Skills

  • Proficient in both front-end and back-end development, including associated areas such as database design and management and DevOps.
  • Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing overall web architecture.
  • Experience implementing approved user interfaces and designing and deploying databases.
  • Knowledge and experience ensuring the entire technology stack is designed and built for speed and scalability.
  • Knowledge and experience designing and constructing REST API services.
  • Knowledge and experience integrating front-end user interfaces with developed APIs.
  • Knowledge and experience designing and implementing continuous integration and deployment.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge and experience programming Internet-ready applications.

  • Excellent knowledge of front-end web programming languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS, with the ability to render server-side and client-side content.
  • Experience designing user interactions on websites, developing servers and databases for website functionality, and coding for mobile platforms.
  • Fundamental knowledge of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) principles.
  • Experience ensuring front-end code can query APIs.
  • Experience with Java WebLogic and Java programming for web applications, including Tomcat, WebLogic, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), and Servlets.
  • Strong database and SQL skills, including Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Experience and knowledge of REST and SOAP web services.
  • Experience and knowledge of Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience And Skill Set Requirements

  • Programmer and Development Skills - 65%
  • Experience, knowledge, and skills in large-scale system analysis, design, and implementation for multi-client use, with AODA compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience directly supporting the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile/iterative methodologies, and implementing business-critical software applications and systems.
  • Experience writing application architecture artefacts and performing data modelling to lead teams in developing and customizing large web-based applications.
  • Experience with J-rules, Oracle Content Management System, microservices, and WebSphere Application Server.
  • Extensive experience with security and cryptography.
  • Experience with software development, migration, and deployment for virtualized infrastructure and cloud computing environments.
  • Extensive experience with printing management systems and PDF architecture.
