We are seeking a
Senior Software Developer – ETL with strong experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, reporting, ETL development, Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, Informatica, Crystal Reports, Power BI, and Business Objects Enterprise (BOE). The successful candidate will support the design, development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of data warehousing, BI, reporting, and analytics solutions within the Employment Ontario Information Systems (EOIS) environment.

Must Have
- 5+ years’ experience with analysis, design, developing, unit testing, defect fixing and other necessary tasks in data warehousing, BI environment.
- 5+ years’ experience in designing and developing Crystal Reports, Power BI, and BOE reports.
- 5+ years’ experience in designing, developing and testing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- 5+ years’ experience in designing, developing and testing in Informatica.
- Experience with technology solutions and development methodologies.
- Experience in analysing and designing changes to existing web-based software solutions.
- Complete knowledge of SDLC methodologies, e.g. Agile development.
- Experience in RDBMS design concepts.
- Experience with Data Warehouse design, Reporting and ETL concepts.
- Experience with Data Warehouse architecture, design, dimensional modelling, development and deployment of business intelligence systems.
Description
‘Employment Ontario’ is one of the major programs delivered by the Employment and Training Division of the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Employment Ontario helps the citizens of Ontario gain the training, skills and experience to achieve their goals.
The Employment Ontario Information Systems (EOIS) is the major IT system that supports the administration of these programs. Application subsystems under EOIS include Ca MS (Case Management System), Service Provider life Cycle (SPL), EO Self Service (EOSS), APPR (Apprenticeship), OJG (Ontario Job Grant), and APPR AOL (Apply On Line).
The operating Environment includes JEE, CURAM, Crystal Reports, Oracle SQL/PL SQL, Power BI, Oracle Database, Business Objects Universe and Dashboarding, Web I, Bursting technologies, and Informatica ETL.
Responsibilities
- This request is for strong developers to help in designing and developing data warehousing, BI, reporting and analytics.
- Perform analysis, design, developing, unit testing, defect fixing and other necessary tasks in a data warehousing and BI environment in Oracle PL/SQL.
- Design, develop and test Informatica mappings.
- Develop ETL scripts to transfer and transform data from OLTP database to Data Warehouse and Data marts.
- Develop and maintain BOE reports.
- Communicate your progress clearly and timely to the management team.
- Must have skills in Crystal Reports, Informatica, Power BI and BOE reporting.

- Experience reviewing, analysing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging.
