We are seeking a Senior Solutions Designer with a strong financial background and extensive experience in Oracle EPM Cloud solutions, financial consolidation applications, and enterprise financial systems migration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in analysing, designing, and migrating existing Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) applications to Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS). The successful candidate will lead a Proof of Concept (POC) initiative for the Public Accounts consolidation application, CONSOL, assess current and future-state requirements, evaluate migration feasibility, and provide recommendations to support future implementation planning, project costing, and solution development.

Must Have

Knowledge and experience in Oracle EPM Cloud solutions and design.
Experience with FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Service) is preferred, but not mandatory.
Application expertise to assist in the analysis, solution design, and migration of existing HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) consolidation applications.
Experience implementing and providing support for the migration of large financial applications.
Knowledge and experience using financial planning, management accounting, and reporting applications, including forecasting, consolidations, and public accounts.

Nice to Have

Prior Ontario Public Service (OPS) or public sector experience.

Description

Responsibilities

Lead a Proof of Concept (POC) initiative to assess the feasibility of migrating the existing Public Accounts consolidation application, CONSOL, from the legacy Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) solution to Oracle's Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS).
The project will encompass the assessment of the current and future state, configuration of the environment/application, and development of a POC to assess the migration of the CONSOL application.
The POC will also help determine the future project plan, tasks, and duration, and inform future costing for the full-scale migration of CONSOL to FCCS.

General Skills

A strong financial background and previous experience designing and migrating Oracle Consolidation applications.
Ability to gather client business requirements, corporate I&IT information mandates, client information technology strategic plans, environmental requirements, and standards.
Ability to participate in the development of solutions and provide advice on short-term and long-term solution service development activities.
Knowledge of leading-edge technologies and design criteria, security and recovery procedures, and the preparation of technical specifications for the installation, testing, and performance of integrated, multi-service systems. Ability to assess the performance and capacity of existing systems, recommend performance improvements, and develop technical documentation.
Experience planning, migrating, implementing, and sustaining large, complex system development projects.
Knowledge of technology developments, trends, and new products to evaluate their application to clients' short-term and long-term technology requirements. Basic knowledge of project management methodologies, such as PMBOK, analytical tools, and processes.
Conceptual and analytical skills to assess and evaluate client needs and conduct cost-benefit analyses for new technology requirements when planning and designing solutions.
Experience designing and developing large, complex, highly available, mission-critical server applications.
Experience evaluating systems to assess their condition, technical performance, and capacity, and determining the need for and feasibility of expansion, renovation, or replacement.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
A team player with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.

Experience And Skill Set Requirements

Financial and Technical Solution Skills - 35%
Knowledge and experience in Oracle EPM Cloud solutions and design. Experience with FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Service) is preferred, but not mandatory.
Application expertise to assist in the analysis, solution design, and migration of existing HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) consolidation applications.
Provide client support for production issues and consult with vendors, consultants, and peers to manage and address application issues.
Experience implementing and providing support for the migration of large financial applications.
Knowledge and experience using financial planning, management accounting, and reporting applications, including forecasting, consolidations, and public accounts.
Analytical Skills - 30%
Ability to lead, gather, and analyse business requirements, identify impacts on policies and processes, prepare cost-benefit analyses, and make recommendations.
Demonstrated experience designing and developing solutions for financial management, reporting, and consolidation applications.
Strong analytical skills to analyse multidimensional datasets, compare current business processes against best practices, identify gaps, and propose areas for improvement.
Communication Skills - 20%
Strong collaboration skills to participate in committees and project status meetings.
Ability to develop presentations and facilitate user requirements gathering.
Experience delivering presentations and findings to various clients, stakeholders, and senior managers at the appropriate level of detail.
Mediation, consensus-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and partners at all levels.
Project Management Skills - 15%
Experience with formal systems implementation and current project management methodologies, including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Waterfall, and Agile.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deliverables and targets.
Experience applying internal control procedures, business management frameworks, financial operations, and the controllership model.
