We are seeking a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist with extensive experience in planning, executing, and managing end-to-end testing for complex digital solutions, enterprise applications, cloud-based platforms, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in functional, integration, system, regression, accessibility, performance, security, API, database, and user acceptance testing, along with experience in test automation, defect management, requirements traceability, and quality reporting. The successful candidate will coordinate with business and technical teams, assess release readiness, manage testing risks, and ensure that enterprise platform features, integrations, releases, and onboarded services meet approved requirements and quality standards.

Must Have

Experience planning and executing end-to-end testing for complex digital solutions.
Experience with functional, integration, system, regression, accessibility, performance, and acceptance testing.
Experience automating UI, API, service, or database tests.
Experience testing cloud applications, microservices, and system integrations.
Ability to coordinate business and technical teams during testing and defect resolution.

Nice to Have

Ontario Public Service (OPS) or public sector experience.

Description

The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist leads and performs quality assurance and testing for enterprise platform features, integrations, releases, and onboarded services.

The role develops risk-based test strategies, plans, scenarios, scripts, data, automation, traceability, quality metrics, and completion reporting across functional, integration, system, regression, accessibility, performance, security, API, database, and user acceptance testing.

Working with product teams, analysts, architects, developers, DevOps engineers, security specialists, business representatives, and ministry partners, the Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist coordinates environments and test readiness, identifies and manages defects, and verifies that approved requirements and quality criteria have been met.

The role provides evidence-based release-readiness assessments, communicates residual risks, and helps establish repeatable testing practices and automation that improve coverage, reliability, delivery speed, and confidence in enterprise platform releases.

Experience

Experience testing large, complex digital platforms, enterprise applications, or public-facing services.
Experience developing test strategies, plans, scenarios, scripts, procedures, data, and completion reports.
Experience conducting functional, integration, system, regression, accessibility, performance, security, API, database, and user acceptance testing.
Experience designing and maintaining automated tests for user interfaces, APIs, services, and data components.
Experience testing cloud-based microservices, distributed applications, and integrations across multiple systems.
Experience establishing test environments, test accounts, test data, entry and exit criteria, and schedules.
Experience managing defects through identification, triage, prioritization, resolution, retesting, and closure.
Experience maintaining requirements traceability, coverage reporting, dashboards, and quality metrics.
Experience assessing release readiness and communicating residual quality risks.

General Skills / Duties

Define and maintain test strategies, plans, schedules, scenarios, scripts, data, and reports.
Execute manual and automated testing across enterprise platform capabilities and integrations.
Develop and maintain UI, API, service, and database test automation where appropriate.
Coordinate test environments, accounts, tools, data, and supporting resources.
Maintain requirements traceability and test-coverage reporting.
Lead defect triage and monitor defects through resolution and closure.
Validate accessibility, security, performance, reliability, and integration requirements.
Report quality indicators, testing progress, outstanding defects, and release risks.
Provide evidence-based recommendations on production readiness.
