Client: Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement – RQ11754

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong hands-on experience in software development, web applications, Web APIs, web services, Microsoft Azure technologies, .NET, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, Azure SQL, and CI/CD pipelines. The successful candidate will translate technical specifications into working applications, develop and test software solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, support application implementation and migration, and collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, cloud service models, and large government applications is highly desirable.

Must Have

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience developing web applications, Web APIs, and web services using ASP.NET, REST, OpenAPI, and OAuth 2.0.
• Working knowledge of application development using Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Working knowledge of .NET, C#, and JavaScript.
• Experience with custom Web API development, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Entity Framework, Azure SQL, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in cloud service models, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  
  

Description

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.

Responsibilities Include

• Developing detailed programming specifications.
• Writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining applications, and conducting unit tests.
• Resolving and troubleshooting technical problems that arise during the use and operation of software packages, including providing technical assistance with implementation, conversion, and migrations.

• Experience in programming and analysis, including specialized software package support at the specified experience level.
• Ability to collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
• Experience in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.
• Experience using object-oriented and/or third-generation language development tools.
• Experience with one or more programming languages.
• Experience in application design, modern design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
• Experience using information retrieval packages and query languages.
• Experience with one or more communications protocols.
• Experience with structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
• Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business-area stakeholders and subject matter experts.

• Knowledge of and experience with programming Internet-ready applications.

• Experience reviewing, analysing, and modifying product installation scripts, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
• Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues arising after implementation.
• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project teams.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
