ABOUT THE ROLE
The Packer will be responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled from the warehouse inventory while meeting all productivity and accuracy standards.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Seasonal Full-Time
Monday-Tuesday: 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM | Wednesday-Thursday: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM | Friday: 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM
NOTE: As a seasonal hire you have a defined employment time period of 90 days from date of hire.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Pack customer orders
- Maintain minimum lines per hour productivity requirements and works with a sense of urgency
- Maintain accuracy while double checking orders
- Act professionally and remain focused while working
- Safely operate all warehouse equipment
- Follow directions of leadership
- Perform cleaning activities as required
- Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by management
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to operate a warehouse equipment and machinery
- Must be comfortable using electronic devices
- Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation
- Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately
- Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information
- Must be flexible with start and departure time changing
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Responsible for any additional duties assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
In performing the job of a Packer, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs. Moderate Hand-Eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing is required for the operation of warehouse machinery.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
