The Opportunity
Sabre is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of industrial electrical projects. This is a field-focused role that combines project management, customer engagement, and on-site leadership, requiring regular collaboration with customers, field supervisors, and crews throughout project execution. From initial planning and estimating support through execution, closeout, and ongoing customer support, the successful candidate will combine strong project management and commercial skills with practical knowledge of industrial electrical construction to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations.
The Electrical Project Manager will work closely with customers, field supervision, project coordinators, estimating, procurement, safety, quality, and other Sabre divisions. This is a customer-facing role supporting key accounts in the mining, forestry, manufacturing, utilities, and industrial sectors.

What You'll Do
- Manage electrical projects from award through planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout, with regular site involvement to support successful field execution.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate field labour, supervision, subcontractors, materials, equipment, travel, and site access requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and develop strong, long-term client relationships.
- Monitor project performance, including labour productivity, costs, schedule, gross margin, billing, and cash collection.
- Identify scope changes, prepare change orders, and ensure additional work is documented and approved.
- Review contracts, purchase orders, specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to identify commercial and execution risks.
- Work with estimating and operations teams to develop proposals, budgets, schedules, clarifications, and execution strategies.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings, progress reviews, forecasting updates, and project closeout meetings.
- Provide leadership and support to field supervisors and crews by removing roadblocks, clarifying priorities, coordinating resources, and monitoring project progress at customer sites.
- Ensure project activities comply with Sabre's safety, quality, environmental, and project management requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including correspondence, meeting minutes, progress reports, cost reports, change logs, completion records, and turnover packages.
- Coordinate invoices and ensure completed work is billed accurately and promptly.
- Identify follow-on opportunities and support account growth with existing and prospective customers.
- Provide regular project reporting to divisional leadership and escalate emerging risks in a timely manner.
- Travel to customer sites as required, including occasional overnight travel.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in industrial electrical construction, maintenance, instrumentation, or a related field, with demonstrated experience working directly with field crews and site supervision.
- Journeyperson Electrician certification, Electrical Engineering Technology diploma, engineering degree, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience leading field execution activities, coordinating labour resources, and managing work in active industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical construction, labour planning, commissioning, and field execution.
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, forecasts, change orders, and customer relationships.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or scheduling software.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
- Red Seal Electrician or Master Electrician certification.
- Demonstrated success leading field-based project execution, coordinating labour and resources, and driving performance in active industrial environments.
- Experience delivering projects within mining, forestry, utilities, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial sectors.
- Experience managing shutdowns, maintenance programs, brownfield projects, and remote-site operations.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, controls, commissioning, and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing a diverse portfolio of projects, from service and maintenance work to multimillion-dollar construction projects.
