Description
Sadie is building voice AI for hotels. When a guest calls, Sadie answers, day or night: it shares property information, quotes availability and rates, and books reservations in the hotel's own systems.
We're looking for an early-career AI engineer to join our Montreal team and ship product work from your first weeks. The team is lean, so your code reaches real hotels quickly, and you'll be trusted with more as you prove yourself. Use AI to research, draft, test, and automate. You're responsible for the quality of the result.
What you'll do
Improve How The Voice Agent Handles Real Calls
You'll review calls and transcripts to find where Sadie gets a request wrong, write the fix, and test it before it reaches a hotel. When Sadie fumbles a booking, the hotel hears about it from their guest.
Build hotel system integrations
You'll build and maintain the connections that let Sadie check real availability and rates and write reservations back to the hotel. A mistake here means a double booking or a guest quoted the wrong price.
Ship features and measure quality
You'll take features from idea to production and help build the test calls and checks that tell us whether a release made Sadie better or worse. Expect close code review, and to review others' code as you grow.
What you'll bring
- You're graduating now, or graduated in the last one to two years.
- Either a FAANG internship, or startup experience or a project you built and shipped yourself.
- Clear evidence of initiative and strong ambition.
- Solid programming fundamentals and comfort building with LLMs and APIs.
- You work independently, ask for help early, and finish what you start.
Useful experience
- A degree from a top Canadian university
- Hackathons, standout projects, or strong internships
- Voice or conversational AI work
Who will enjoy this role
Someone who hears a call that went wrong and can't let it go until it's fixed. The hard part: the team is small and moves quickly, so there's less hand-holding than at a large company, and your mistakes reach real guests.
Why this role matters
Small hotel teams miss calls, and each missed call can be a lost booking. As more hotels rely on Sadie, we need engineers who can own parts of the product. You'll start with well-defined pieces, and your scope will grow as fast as you do.
