Position Overview

This isn’t a role for someone looking to simply process requests. As the Account Manager, you’ll be the bridge between prospective clients and long-term partnerships. We’re looking for someone who is energized by building relationships, solving problems, creating opportunities, and delivering remarkable client experiences.

A strong understanding of the construction environment and established relationships within the equipment rental and construction sectors, particularly with mid-to-large-sized construction companies, will be key to your success. You’ll know how to connect with key decision makers, understand client needs, uncover opportunities, and build partnerships that create long-term value.

You’ll work closely with our Operations, Training, Marketing, and Client Success teams to ensure every client experiences a smooth, professional journey that reflects our commitment to making workplaces safer.

Why This Role Exists

This role exists to ensure every interaction with SafetyCo feels effortless, professional, and valuable. From responding to new inquiries to supporting existing clients and identifying additional opportunities, you’ll help clients get the most from their partnership with us.

Your construction industry knowledge and existing relationships will be an important part of your ability to identify opportunities, understand client needs, and connect organizations with the right SafetyCo solutions.

Success in the Role

Success In This Role Means

Exceptional Client Experience

Every client receives timely communication, proactive support, and an experience that exceeds expectations.

Growth Through Relationships

You naturally identify opportunities to introduce additional SafetyCo services that help clients solve problems and improve workplace safety.

Seamless Client Onboarding

New clients transition smoothly from signed agreement to service delivery with clear communication and defined expectations.

Revenue Growth

Existing clients continue to purchase additional services because they trust SafetyCo and understand the value we provide.

Operational Excellence

Client information, CRM records, quotes, proposals, and onboarding activities are accurate, organized, and completed on time.

Client Retention

Clients continue partnering with SafetyCo because they receive exceptional service before, during, and after every engagement.

What You’ll Do

Client Experience

Become the trusted point of contact for clients throughout their journey with SafetyCo
Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests
Coordinate onboarding for new clients, ensuring a seamless implementation experience
Schedule discovery meetings and ensure all client requirements are completed
Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders
Resolve issues quickly while maintaining a positive client experience

Business Development & Growth

Follow up on inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns
Qualify opportunities and guide prospective clients toward the right solutions
Prepare proposals, quotations, and service recommendations
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across SafetyCo’s full suite of services
Re-engage dormant clients and support client retention initiatives
Support revenue growth through exceptional relationship management rather than high-pressure sales

Reporting & Administration

Maintain accurate CRM records and client documentation
Track client activity, sales opportunities, and follow-up tasks
Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement
Prepare reports and insights for leadership
Continuously improve workflows, templates, and client processes

Core Competencies

Client Obsessed

You genuinely care about creating exceptional experiences and building long-term relationships

Growth Mindset

You naturally recognize opportunities to create additional value for clients while contributing to business growth

Communication

You communicate clearly, professionally, and proactively with clients and teammates

Ownership

You take responsibility, follow through on commitments, and solve problems without waiting to be asked

Organization

You thrive in a fast-paced environment while keeping projects moving and details under control

Continuous Improvement

You constantly look for better ways to improve processes, client experiences, and team performance

What You Bring

Required

3+ years of experience in client onboarding, implementation, customer success, project coordination, or account management
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
Experience working in equipment sales, equipment rental, construction sales, or a related construction-focused industry
Strong existing relationships or industry connections within mid-to-large-sized construction companies, equipment rental companies, contractors, or other construction organizations
Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

Experience in health and safety, workforce training, education, or professional services
Knowledge of CRM platforms such as Zoho, Salesforce, or HubSpot
Experience selling products, services, training, or solutions to construction companies or equipment rental organizations
Experience working directly with construction industry decision-makers, including owners, operations leaders, project managers, or health and safety leaders

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $57,500 – $70,000

Health & Wellness

We take care of our people, because you can’t look after others if you’re not looked after too.

Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
Access to mental health resources and wellness programs that support your well-being
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential personal and professional support when you need it

Work-Life Balance

We believe great work happens when people actually have time to live their lives too.

Two weeks of vacation to start, with more as you grow with us
Paid sick days and personal time when you need it
No regular overtime, your evenings are yours
A full company shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s (yes, we all take the break)

Professional Development

We invest in your growth, because your future matters here.

Ongoing access to training, learning, and development opportunities
Tuition reimbursement to support continued education
Coverage of approved professional memberships and industry associations
Clear pathways for growth and advancement within the organization

Additional Perks

The little things matter too.

Employee discounts on select products and services
Team events, social activities, and recognition moments that actually feel fun (not forced)
The chance to do meaningful work that genuinely improves workplace safety in communities

Company Culture

This is a place where people matter.

A collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environment
Business casual dress
A real commitment to learning, development, and helping people grow
A workplace where ideas are welcomed, voices are heard, and contributions actually make a difference

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel may be required for industry events, training, or trade shows.

About SafetyCo

SafetyCo is Canada’s leading integrated workplace safety partner, bringing together specialized safety companies, expert teams, and industry-leading services into one coordinated model, where we’re actively changing how workplace safety is done.

We help take the complexity out of workplace safety by making it simpler and more connected. Instead of juggling multiple providers, clients get one integrated partner for training, consulting, compliance, emergency response, occupational health, and risk management. The result is less chaos, stronger compliance, and safer workplaces that actually run better. And we do this all alongside a team of great people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
