Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components for landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the progress of production activities to ensure team efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor daily operations of their shift to ensure teams meet performance targets in production planning, quality, HSE, etc.
Coordinate the work of production teams on the ground
Ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met
Track indicators (on-time delivery, scrap rates, machine downtime…)
If necessary, prioritize follow-up on production progress
Ensure the transition between the previous and following shifts and, if needed, reassign employees
Identify and anticipate problematic situations or areas for improvement and coordinate resources to ensure effective production
Guide, support, and supervise manufacturing employees (compliance with rules, communication, annual evaluation, approval of hours to be paid, etc.)
Manage schedule changes, overtime, absences, etc.
Support and participate in quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety, and Environment efforts (IGP, 5S, risk analyses)
Promote the development of manufacturing employees' skills, including newcomers
Lead and participate in daily production follow-up team meetings (QRQC, …)

Requirements

Responsibilities

Oversee night-shift production operations, coordinate manufacturing teams, and ensure production, quality, safety, and delivery targets are met. Monitor performance indicators, manage shift transitions and staffing needs, support employee development, and lead daily follow-up and continuous-improvement activities.

Requirements

Requires a DEC or DEP in a relevant discipline and at least three years of team management experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing. Candidates should know manufacturing processes, products, quality and HSE procedures, collective agreements, ERP/MRP and production-tracking systems, and lean methods, and demonstrate leadership, communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
