Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the progress of production activities to ensure team efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor daily operations of their shift to ensure teams meet performance targets in production planning, quality, HSE, etc.
Coordinate the work of production teams on the ground
Ensure productivity and yield objectives are met
Track indicators (on-time delivery, scrap rates, machine downtime…)
If necessary, prioritize follow-up on production progress
Ensure the transition between the previous and following shifts and, if needed, reassign employees
Identify and anticipate problematic situations or areas for improvement and coordinate resources to ensure effective production
Guide, support, and supervise manufacturing employees (adherence to rules, communication, annual evaluations, approval of hours to be paid, etc.)
Manage schedule changes, overtime, absences, etc.
Support and participate in quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety, and Environment efforts (IGP, 5S, risk analyses)
Promote the development of manufacturing employees' skills, including newcomers
Facilitate and participate in daily production follow-up team meetings (QRQC, …)

Responsibilities

Oversee night-shift production operations, coordinate manufacturing teams, and ensure production, quality, delivery, productivity, and safety targets are met. Support employees, manage shift staffing and handovers, address production issues, and lead continuous improvement and daily production follow-up activities.
