Job Description

As a Channel Account Manager, you will play a critical role in driving partner engagement, enablement, pipeline development, and revenue growth. Working closely with Channel Executives, marketing, sales, and partner organizations, you will help ensure our partners remain active, productive, and aligned with Sage’s strategic priorities. In this role, you will support and grow a portfolio of Value-Added Reseller (VAR) and partner relationships across Canada, with a primary focus on Sage 300 partners and the continued development of Intacct partners.

Success in this position will require building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with channel partners while identifying opportunities to increase partner productivity, strengthen collaboration, and support long-term business growth.

This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week in the Toronto office.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned channel partners.
Conduct regular partner business reviews and check-ins.
Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day partner needs.
Support partners with navigating Sage programs, resources, and growth initiatives.
Foster partner loyalty and engagement through proactive communication.

Partner Enablement & Growth:

Promote partner participation in training, certifications, and enablement programs.
Identify opportunities to expand partner product knowledge and sales capabilities.
Help drive adoption of Sage initiatives, campaigns, and strategic priorities.
Support onboarding of new partners and partner team members.
Encourage utilization of Sage tools, programs, and best practices.

Pipeline & Revenue Development:

Work with partners to identify, qualify, and progress sales opportunities.
Assist partners in developing pipeline strategies and growth plans.
Track partner-generated opportunities and collaborate on deal progression.
Support monthly and quarterly business objectives related to partner-sourced pipeline and revenue.
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within partner territories.

Partner Performance & Insights:

Monitor partner activity, engagement, and revenue trends.
Maintain accurate account plans, forecasts, and CRM records.
Analyze partner performance metrics and recommend actions to improve results.
Provide ongoing feedback and insights to Channel Executives regarding partner health and growth opportunities.

Collaboration & Team Support:

Partner closely with Channel Executives on strategic account planning.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Product teams.
Support partner events, webinars, regional programs, and customer engagements.
Assist with execution of partner business plans and growth initiatives.

Qualifications Required:

2-5 years of experience in sales, channel sales, account management, business development, or partner management.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with external stakeholders.
Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce and sales productivity tools.

Preferred:

Experience working with software, technology, SaaS, ERP, or indirect sales channels.
Understanding of value-added reseller (VAR) business models.
Knowledge of ERP, accounting, or business management solutions.
Experience supporting partner ecosystems or indirect sales organizations.

The compensation will be determined by location, level, job-related knowledge, education, and experience. Certain provinces in Canada require job postings to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range applicable to the role.

For this role in this location, the target salary range for new hires is a base salary between C$80,000 and C$92,000. OTE (on-target earnings with commission) can equal up to C$153,333.

In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either a bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based commission plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide eligible candidates with specific opportunities in our bonus or incentive programs. The listed range is just one component of Sage's total compensation package.
