⭐ About the Role

Location: Canada (remote)

We're hiring a full-time remote Advocate Support Coordinator to serve as the backbone of support for our Healthcare Advocate network at Sailor Health. You'll own the advocate experience from day one: running onboarding, checking in at 30/60/90 days, holding regular office hours, and staying close to the metrics that tell you who's thriving and who needs help. When an advocate runs into a tough patient situation (like a patient who's gone unresponsive), you'll be the one who helps them work through it. And when you spot a gap, whether it's a missing protocol or a hole in how we train new advocates, you'll build the fix yourself.

This role sits at the center of advocate performance, training, and support, which means the work is varied, and "and more" is a real part of the job description. We're a startup, and our processes are still being built and refined as we grow. This role isn't for everyone, but if you love creating structure out of ambiguity, you'll thrive here.

💻 Your Key Responsibilities

Own the advocate lifecycle from day one. Run onboarding for new Healthcare Advocates and check in with them at 30, 60, and 90 days to make sure they're set up to succeed, catching confusion or gaps early, before they turn into bigger problems.

Hold regular office hours. Be a consistent, available presence for advocates to bring questions, get unstuck, and talk through tricky patient situations in real time.

Track advocate metrics closely. Keep a close eye on performance data across the advocate network, know who's excelling and why, and surface high performers so their approach can be recognized and shared.

Help advocates navigate patient issues. Be the go-to resource when an advocate hits a wall with a patient (like a patient who's become unresponsive) and help them figure out the right next step.

Build and refine protocols. When a recurring issue doesn't have a clear playbook yet, write one. Turn one-off fixes into repeatable protocols the whole advocate team can rely on.

Find and close gaps in training. Watch for where the onboarding and training process is falling short, and build the improvements (new materials, new steps, new checks) to close those gaps for the next advocate who comes through.

And more. This role will keep expanding as the advocate program grows. Expect new pieces of advocate support, performance, and process to land with you as we scale.

Extremely organized, with airtight follow-through. You catch issues early and never leave something unresolved without a plan to close it out. Colleagues can trust that once something lands with you (in Slack, email, or a call) it's handled, without needing to be reminded.

Proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity. You take initiative without being asked, and when instructions or processes are unclear, you find a path forward and build structure rather than waiting for direction.

Data-driven. You're comfortable living in the metrics; you notice trends, ask why a number moved, and use what you see to make advocates and the program better.

Sound judgment on urgency and ownership. You know when something is a drop-everything issue versus one that can wait, and you know what's yours to solve versus what should get escalated.

Warm, empathetic communicator. You bring genuine warmth to every conversation: clear, kind, and easy to work with, even when an advocate is frustrated or a patient situation is hard.
