About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword - it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Experience

The software engineer role at Salesforce encompasses architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality. Equally important is advanced prompt engineering - the ability to write precise, structured prompts and cultivate the system context that makes AI outputs reliable, secure, and production-ready.

We pride ourselves on writing high-quality, maintainable code that strengthens the stability of the product and makes our work easier. We embrace the hybrid model and celebrate the individual strengths of each team member while helping everyone on the team grow into the best version of themselves. We believe that autonomous teams with the freedom to make decisions empower individuals, the product, the company, and the customers we serve to thrive.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

Design, build, test, and operate capabilities across the Momentum product, from meeting capture and recording through transcript processing, insight generation, and customer-facing experiences.
Develop robust backend services, APIs, and event-driven workflows that perform reliably at enterprise scale in a multi-tenant environment.
Contribute to frontend experiences using modern JavaScript and component-based frameworks, including Lightning Web Components where applicable.
Process and manage high-volume conversation, recording, transcript, and insight data securely and efficiently.
Design for security, privacy, compliance, data residency, observability, and operational readiness from the beginning.
Apply test-driven development practices and contribute to unit, integration, functional, performance, and end-to-end test coverage.
Use CI/CD tooling and modern engineering practices to safely deliver production-grade software.
Monitor production behavior, diagnose complex distributed-system failures, and improve system reliability and supportability.
Participate in architecture and code reviews, critically evaluating human- and AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, accessibility, and performance.
Use AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor to improve development velocity, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Create clear system context, including architecture decisions, operational constraints, coding standards, and runbooks, so both engineers and AI-assisted workflows can operate effectively.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Security, Privacy, Site Reliability, and partner engineering teams to deliver trusted customer outcomes.

You're Our Person If...

A related technical degree, or equivalent practical experience, required
8+ years of backend software development experience
Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming languages: Java, C++, Go, C#, Ruby, Scala, Python, Node.js, or JavaScript
Broad knowledge of web standards relating to APIs such as REST, SOAP, XML, WSDL, HTTP, JSON, etc.
Experience with Spring, gRPC, REST, and the HTTP protocol
Experience with Agile development methodology
A demonstrated, genuine AI-first approach to engineering - using AI to move faster, build fluency across the stack, and contribute well beyond your core specialty
Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor, etc.) in development workflows
Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to write precise, structured prompts and cultivate the system context that makes AI outputs reliable, secure, and production-ready
Willingness to participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real time and keep services operational and highly available
Office-Flex: 10 days per quarter

Even Better If...

Experience with conversation intelligence, audio or video recording, transcription, media processing, or meeting-platform integrations

Unleash Your Potential

Posting Statement

Salesforce is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a policy of non-discrimination with all employees and applicants for employment. What does that mean exactly? It means that at Salesforce, we believe in equality for all. And we believe we can lead the path to equality in part by creating a workplace that’s inclusive, and free from discrimination. Know your rights: workplace discrimination is illegal. Any employee or potential employee will be assessed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications – without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, transgender status, age, disability, veteran or marital status, political viewpoint, or other classifications protected by law. This policy applies to current and prospective employees, no matter where they are in their Salesforce employment journey. Recruiting, hiring, and promotion decisions at Salesforce are fair and based on merit. The same goes for compensation, benefits, promotions, transfers, reduction in workforce, recall, training, and education.

For British Columbia-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is CAD 154,700 to CAD 212,800.
