Role Description The Hairstylist at Salon Kokoro will provide professional hair services, including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments, while ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience for every guest. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with clients to understand their preferences, recommending appropriate styles and products, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at the styling station. The role also involves working collaboratively with other team members, supporting salon promotions, and contributing to a positive, artistic environment. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, requiring regular in-salon presence during scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong Hair Styling and Hair Care skills, with the ability to perform cuts, color services, and treatments for a variety of hair types.
• Foundational Cosmetology knowledge, including sanitation standards and product usage, supported by relevant training or certification.
• Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to consult with guests, understand their needs, and build long-term relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented salon environment and contribute to a creative, inclusive atmosphere.
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by salon scheduling needs.
• Experience in waxing or additional beauty services is an asset.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends, techniques, and products.
