About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Surrey, BC, supporting sales and customer service operations across Samrat Building Supply. You'll handle inbound and outbound sales inquiries, prepare quotes, and process orders, while maintaining relationships with existing accounts and identifying new sales opportunities.

What You'll Do

🔹 Make daily outreach calls to existing customers across all three brands - a required, ongoing responsibility

🔹 Answer customer calls and emails, provide product information, and prepare accurate quotes

🔹 Deliver prompt, professional service to walk-in and phone customers, with no customer left waiting

🔹 Enter and process customer orders and invoices accurately in our ERP System

🔹 Maintain accurate, up-to-date store inventory and report discrepancies or shortages immediately

🔹 Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable at all times

🔹 Support receiving alongside our Purchasing Manager, whenever needed

🔹 Create and post social media content (minimum 1 hour/day, tracked)

🔹 Track and report customer demand and product requests to inform purchasing decisions

🔹 Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to confirm product availability and delivery timelines

🔹 Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly to support overall sales and service goals

What We're Looking For

✅ Strong inside sales and lead generation skills - able to identify opportunities and convert inquiries into orders

✅ Solid customer service skills with a focus on building rapport and resolving issues efficiently

✅ Experience in account management, including maintaining ongoing relationships and repeat business

✅ Knowledge of construction materials or building supply products is an asset

✅ Effective verbal and written communication, with strong attention to detail and accuracy

✅ Comfortable working on-site in Surrey, BC, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

✅ Proficiency with basic computer applications and order entry software; ERP experience is an advantage

✅ Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or distribution/construction supply is preferred
