Original job description

About SamSearch

SamSearch is an AI platform that helps companies find and win government contracts. We bring opportunity discovery, market intelligence, proposal tools, and pipeline management into one platform across U.S. federal, state, local, and Canadian government markets.

We’re hiring an Account Executive to work directly with our founders, close new business, and help shape our growing sales team.

The opportunity

You’ll own the sales process from discovery through close, working with business development leaders, executives, and government contractors.

Our team will support your pipeline, you’ll focus on understanding customer needs, delivering compelling demos, and turning qualified opportunities into customers.

This role suits someone who wants ownership, direct access to the founders, and compensation that rewards results.

What you’ll do

Lead discovery calls to understand prospects’ priorities, existing tools, and buying process.
Deliver tailored product demos that connect SamSearch to each customer’s needs.
Own follow-ups, trials, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
Build relationships with decision-makers and manage purchases involving multiple stakeholders.
Keep HubSpot current with accurate deal stages, next steps, and forecasts.
Share customer feedback with our founders and product team.
Coordinate a smooth handoff to onboarding after the sale.

What we’re looking for

Experience in B2B SaaS sales, with demonstrated success closing business.
Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
An organized approach to managing multiple opportunities.
Comfort discussing pricing and asking for the close.
The ability to learn a technical product and explain its business value clearly.
Initiative, accountability, and comfort working in a growing startup.

Experience selling to government contractors or selling sales intelligence, procurement, or CRM software is a plus. Government contracting experience is not required.
